Sampson is famous for his strength and his bad marriage. He was a Nazirite from birth.
I couldn't find much about Nazirites, but for most people it was a limited time commitment. They would typically pledge themselves to God for a year or so and in that time they couldn't drink wine (or have any grape product) nor cut their hair as a sign or reminder of their commitment. I think this is similar to what we do when we give something up for Lent, but on a bigger scale.
From what we are told, Sampson doesn't seem like a fun guy to hang out with. He is a little arrogant, vengeful, and violent, but he was faithful and just what God wanted.

It was obvious that Delilah was not an ally to Sampson, why did he give in and tell her his secret? Only God knows. What do you think?
