It ends with Zedekiah

The kingdom ends with Zedekiah. The curse in Moses' last warning in Deuteronomy is being fulfilled. The 12 tribes have drifted so far from God's ideas and laws given in Exodus and Leviticus that their culture is indistinguishable from the pagan cultures they were supposed to eliminate. The Israelites have gone so far as to implement child sacrifice, burning their first born as sacrifice to Baal or Moleck. It is brutally horrifying, but perhaps fitting, that Nebuchadnezzar ends the earthly Israelite kingdom by slaughtering Zedekiah's family in front of him, then gouging out his eyes so the last image Zedekiah would ever see was the death of his children.
