The corruption of man

Genesis 6 is a very curious chapter describing how mankind had become corrupted, except for Noah. I have heard of 3 explanations for this.

The first is simply man born into sin ran amuck, forgetting God.

The others are founded in the phrase describing Noah as "perfect in his generations." This implies a pure genetic lineage, of which there are 2 explanations.

The first of these is the lineage of Seth vs the lineage of Cain. In Gen4:23 we learn of Cain's descendant, Lamech, who committed murder and the bragged about it and kind of challenged God by saying he would be avenged 70 times. Lamech's line could be responsible for all the Chapter 6 violence while Seth's more faithful line could be seen as the "son's of God."

The last idea is with the Nephilium, the giant race born of women where "Sons of God" is interpreted to be angels, perhaps fallen angels/demons. This idea is the most fantastic, but in my opinion fits best in context. It would definitely make the best movie script.

Most likely, the sons of God referee to in Genesis 6 are descendants of Seth, in all probability, believers in God. The daughters of men were probably the descendants of Cain, hence being unbelievers. As was often to be true, the "righteous" believers lusted after the "unrighteousness" unbelievers, married and had children. This pattern would be repeated after the Children of Israel returned from Egypt.
