Creation days

The story of creation is one of the stories most attacked by those that oppose or reject God. That is because it is the foundation of the Bible and of God's revelation to us of his purpose and our part in that plan. If the creation narrative can be discredited, the validity of the entire Bible is put to question. One question has always puzzled me is why do creation days go from evening to morning? Where is the day? One explanation I read was that 'evening' in Hebrew carried the connotation of chaos and disorder: the uncertainty of the impending nightfall. Conversely, 'morning' has a connotation of restored order or new organization. This makes a creation day start in chaos until God add order. Entropy is the constant natural trend toward disorder. One of the things science cannot rectify about our beginning, especially with evolution, is the violation of entropy. This explanation of evening and morning shows God's supernatural input into the creation process.
