Geneology

Post by Tom Tighe »

There are a lot of names listed as we read Genesis and 1Chronicals. If you watch, some of these people become nations that we will see later in the Bible or even today (like Egypt and Israel). Most of these people, however, are historically insignificant, except that without them we wouldn't have history. What I mean is that these people were real people who had parents and children. Through them we can prove the historical figures, like Noah, Abraham, Jacob, and Moses, were real people and not myths or legends. This great chain of uncelebrated, ordinary people did nothing significant except keep their faith and teach their children. On second thought, maybe that is historically significant. I hope to be counted as part of that chain.
