Judges records the following casualties:
………….. Benjamin……….Israelites
Day 1……………… 0…………….22,000
Day 2……………… 0…………….18,000
Day 3…… 25,100……………………..30
That leaves only about 1500 Benjaminite soldiers alive, assuming no casualties on the first 2 days. The cities of Benjamin are then destroyed. There are no wives for the survivors to repopulate. This implies all men, women, and children in Benjamin were slaughtered probably bringing the total death toll to over 100,000. A complete tragedy, but the simple rules layed out by God through Moses in Deuteronomy were not followed.
