Solomon

I nod in agreement with almost everything I read in Proverbs, but I don't get 'The Song of Solomon" There is supposedly an analogy to Israel in it, but it is not obvious to me. Does anyone see it?

My favorite bit of wisdom from Solomon is Ecc 5:10, "He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver"
The analogy is easy to see with money, one can never have too much or even enough. I think this carries through to all aspects of life. If your ambition is for anything besides God, you will never be satisfied. Money, fame, power, and other worldly measures of success all follow an asymptotic curve that seems to get ever closer but never reaches "enough."
