Battle of the 5 kings: kings=20,000 Israel=0

5 kings (their responsibilities are closer to that of a city mayor) banded together to meet Israel’s army with near equal numbers. If I assume each city can muster 4000 fighters, they had a force of 20,000. The Bible doesn’t say they all died in the battle. In fact it records many of those that retreated (ran away from the battle) were smitten by hail large enough to kill them. ( yep, God was there) Others escaped into cities that were later destroyed. Since these armies came out to jointly meet Israel, their 5 hometowns were left unprotected and easily destroyed in later battles.
